Artist's Comments

These brushes were originally created for PS by 9thaquilo, who most graciously allowed to convert them into .gbr format, so that they can be used in GIMP. Please credit her and not this account which only serves as a collection of resources. 9thaquilo originally posted the brushes here. You can give her feedback there.

9thaquilo's original PS brushes and other resources can be found at her Deviantart account or here at her graphics LiveJournal.

Zip includes:

- .gbr

To install, unzip files into the brushes folder in your GIMP program files (usually C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\brushes in Windows or /home/username/GIMP-2.0/share/gimp/2.0/brushes in Linux) and then restart GIMP.f

I have a general question, I know how I do it but there is usually an easier way - I am curious as to how people apply the black masked areas so that its a photo with the correct sizing, angle, tilt, and has the same photomarks in GIMP?
I do love the poloroid looks though.

yea was wondering that to :(

there is a couple ways I have seen this done where you inverse the masking area for starters but I know there has to be more mask lovers out there that might have a better idea of the ';proper' way to go about it. I love tutorials but rarely do I see them for GIMP and have to figure out the next best method to go about things.
